Independant and low budget filmmakers and video producers shooting in Thailand or elsewhere in Southeast Asia can economize on their DV production costs by renting some of the equipment they need when they arrive. We'll transport any of our gear and operators to nearby Phuket, Krabi, or anywhere in Thailand or a neighboring country.
We have virtually anything you might need to get a big budget look on your low budget shoot. And if we don't have it, we'll get it for you.
Bringing expensive cameras and audio equipment into a foreign country often means dealing with customs officials. This can be time consuming and sometimes costly. Carrying the gear with you also adds liability to a shoot that probably already has its share of challenges, especially if your DP and crew are not familiar with Southeast Asia. Why not rent? Our SONY Z1U shoots both PAL and NTSC (standard and high definition) and we can supply an operator with it for ENG or EFP work.
Lights
Our standard three point lighting kit comes with 2 adjustable key lights (260 watt and 1,000 watt) with barndoors, and one 800 watt Tota fill light; and stands. Additional fill scoops with 500 watt tungsten lamps are also available. Accessories include color correction gels.
Jibs
Our custom built jibs come in three sizes: 8 foot, 12 foot and 16 foot. All are supplied with a remote monitor that mounts at the base. A servo driven tilt/pan head is optional.
The jibs can be assembled in minutes and easily break down into portable pieces. We transport them in a vehicle specially rigged for that purpose. They have been used on many shoots and produce consistently professional results with DV cameras of any size.
An operator comes with every rental.
Dollies
All our dollies are custom built out of high quality materials and engineered to handle any DV rig configuration and weight. This dolly pictured below is 26" wide and is extremely versatile. It has 5 positions for the camera operator's seat, and the camera can be mounted on a tripod or a center post. All of our jibs can be mounted on the platform.
This dolly comes with up to 5 sections of aluminum track, each of which is 6 feet long for a total maximum tracking shot of 30 feet.
Other Dollies
Use our skater dolly for quick and easy short distance tracking shots and for curving moves, especially around objects such as plates of food, jewelry, or any still object. Comes with a laser guided set-up system for pin point accuracy, and a height adjustable center post. Use it with our cine adaptor for the shallow depth of focus associated with the film look. Video Cine Adaptor
A video cine optical adaptor (sometimes referred to as an M35) allows you to get a more film like look using a video camcorder and 35 millimeter manual focus lenses. Use of several such lenses made for various focal distances, allows you to control an image's depth of focus, a technique long used in filmmaking. These devices are revolutionizing what videographers are able to do, and are now widely in use.
Our custom built adaptor has several notable features not always available on commercial devices. These include external battery mounting in an easily opened enclosure. So you don't have to take apart the adaptor just to change the batteries. Most notable however in our rig, is the ability to adjust fore and aft, the device's principal optical element (the spinning ground glass.) This can be done easily and quickly from outside the enclosure with a few turns of two screws.
Body Mounted Stabilizer

Often referred to as a steadicam, our body mounted unit will come with its own skilled operator and all accessories, including a remote follow focus. For those shooting DV and who wish to achieve a more film like look, mount our video cine adaptor on the stabilizer with the 35 millimeter lens you need, for your desired focal distance and depth of focus.
